Forgetting Windows password seems to be inevitable today, but you can take some measures to help you keep your passwords in mind. In Windows, you are able to use its built-in features to create a Windows password reset disk and/or password hint before your password is forgotten.

Password reset disk: Log into your computer and then open the User Account window by clicking Start button – Control Panel – Family Safety and User Account – User Account. Next click Create a password reset disk on the left pane. A wizard will come up and you can follow its instructions to create a Windows password reset disk.

Password hint: A password hint, if you had set up it in advance, will appear when you failed to log into your Windows user account. It could provide clues to help your remember your password hint again. You can create it when you set up a Windows password.
